Sponge Values Glossary

Word selection is everything! We have been deliberate about every single one! The goal is to be as succinct and meaningful as possible. The following is how we define specific words so we are all on the same page.

  • Genius: The active state where we’re most in natural flow (as individuals). It’s where we produce the highest value, and are most energized.
  • Play: In choosing positive emotional states such as curiosity that we can be our most creative. It’s from this state that work becomes play, and is more enjoyable for all.
  • Better: Positive improvement, either by sporadic steps or perpetually increasing.
  • Funergy: This is simply the fusion of fun and energy, born from work that is fun and energizing!
  • Ingraining: Fixing deeply into an organisation, so as not easily undone.

The Role

Seeking an Awe-inspring Outreach VA / Marketing Assistant

Do you want to make the world a better place? And work from almost anywhere in the world?

Our remote team is looking for another team member – an awesome outreach virtual assistant/marketing assistant – who will help with our bold plans.

This is a 3-month project with a huge possibility of turning into a permanent role (if all goes well!) where you can continue to champion our purpose: to help all brands be good for the world.

Let’s see if you’re a good fit for our team:

  1.  Our purpose and values fit you like a glove.
  2. A positive can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
  3. You are an organisational freak, diligent and reliable.
  4. You know social media platforms inside and out. You are comfortable with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
  5. You can initiate and carry a conversation through chat in a defined voice
  6. You love to coordinate teams, meetings, clients, projects, events and everything in between.
  7. You can successfully manage our CRM (Hubspot) & Clickup
  8. You can navigate through various systems (such as our project management tool ClickUp) to manage and schedule tasks for your team.
  9. You’re a superstar when it comes to being a virtual assistant, from social media posting, outreach and posting schedule, to executive calendar, file and inbox management.
  10. You’re an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  11. Your English is first rate and you are able to accurately transcribe and create reports from meeting recordings.
  12. You’re quick and comfortable with learning new tools/systems.
  13. You love data and analytics and use insights they reveal to continuously improve projects you own.
  14. You have impeccable attention to detail!
  15. Bonus points if you love to write copy (and are good at it!).

  3. What steps do you take in planning out your work day? What techniques do you use?
  4. Are you paying attention? Include the word unfalsifiable in the subject line of your email application.

Your Availability

  1. Confirm your availability for 1-2 virtual meetings a week during Brisbane, Australia business hours.
  2. Confirm you are able to commit 10-20 hours/week of awesome work.
