The Role

Seeking A Content Marketing Social Media Rockstar

Do you want to make the world a better place? And work from anywhere in the world?

Our remote team is looking for another team member – an awesome social media marketer/content marketer/community manager – who will help us with our purpose: to help good businesses become better brands.

Let’s see if you’re a good fit for our team:

  1. You know social media platforms inside and out. You are comfortable with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well.
  2. You can adapt to a persona and ghost write content for blog posts.
  3. You’re a natural at identifying and connecting with relevant influencers/collaboration partners.
  4. You enjoy building and nurturing online communities.
  5. You are an organisational freak, diligent and reliable.
  6. You’re also a star at writing emails and press releases.
  7. You have design sense and can create or direct imagery for social.
  8. You have experience developing JV’s with collaboration partners.
  9. You have impeccable attention to detail!

  1. What’s your level of experience? Share a couple examples to demonstrate your level of experience with the various social media platforms, influencers, press releases…
  2. How do you organically grow social media communities?
  3. What steps do you take in planning out social media strategies? What tools do you use?
  4. Are you paying attention? Include the word saturated in the subject line of your email application.

Our Challenge

The best way for us to see what you’re made of is a real demonstration! Are you up for the challenge?

But first. This role is very focused on outcomes. Your efforts are to achieve the following Results and Purpose:

Result: 5000 engaged community members by September (excluding tiktokers which is a separate goal). 

Sub goal: 500 attendees to September workshops, 20% converting to group program. 

Purpose: To fill our workshops and Impact Brand Story Intensive groups, and flow on to project work. 

How we get there is going to be driven largely by you. With that in mind, let us know the following:

  • What would you improve on our Instagram?
  • Craft 3 LinkedIn Company page posts, 3 insta & 3 Tweets that are on brand for The Sponge (Include link to photo where applicable)
  • How would you convert engaged audience members to bums on seats?
  • Write a Blog Post that introduces you in a way that demonstrates your spongeness.
  • Your application email subject line must include the trigger word for it to filter into our view.
