Sponge Values Glossary

Word selection is everything! We have been deliberate about every single one! The goal is to be as succinct and meaningful as possible. The following is how we define specific words so we are all on the same page.

  • Genius: The active state where we’re most in natural flow (as individuals). It’s where we produce the highest value, and are most energized.
  • Play: In choosing positive emotional states such as curiosity that we can be our most creative. It’s from this state that work becomes play, and is more enjoyable for all.
  • Better: Positive improvement, either by sporadic steps or perpetually increasing.
  • Funergy: This is simply the fusion of fun and energy, born from work that is fun and energizing!
  • Ingraining: Fixing deeply into an organisation, so as not easily undone.

The Role

Seeking a Social Media Content Rockstar with Purpose

Do you want to make the world a better place? And work from anywhere in the world?

Our remote team is looking for another team member – an awesome social media marketer/content creator/social copywriter – who will help us with our purpose: to help all brands be good for the world.

Let’s see if you’re a good fit for our team:

  1. You know social media platforms inside and out. You are comfortable with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
  2. You can adapt to an audience persona and ghostwrite content for blog posts, social posts and captions.
  3. You’re a natural at identifying successful content themes and producing content ideas that follow them.
  4. You have great design sense and can work with our graphic designers to produce high-quality posts.
  5. You are an organisational freak, diligent and reliable.
  6. You’re also a star at writing email newsletters.
  7. This role is about the content ideas, copywriting and repurposing of existing content, not so much design (we have great designers already), but design skills are a bonus.
  8. You have impeccable attention to detail!

The best way for us to see what you’re made of is a real demonstration! Are you up for the challenge?

But first. This role is very focused on outcomes. Your efforts are to achieve the following Results and Purpose:

Result: 5000 engaged community members by September (excluding tiktokers which is a separate goal). 

Sub goal: 500 attendees to September workshops, 20% converting to group program. 

Purpose: To fill our workshops and Impact Brand Story Intensive groups, and flow on to project work. 

How we get there is going to be driven largely by you. With that in mind, let us know the following:

  • What would you improve on our Instagram?
  • Craft 3 LinkedIn Company page posts, 3 insta & 3 Tweets that are on brand for The Sponge (Include link to photo where applicable)
  • How would you convert engaged audience members to bums on seats?
  • Write a Blog Post that introduces you in a way that demonstrates your spongeness.
  • Your application email subject line must include the trigger word for it to filter into our view.
