Sponge Values Glossary

Word selection is everything! We have been deliberate about every single one! The goal is to be as succinct and meaningful as possible. The following is how we define specific words so we are all on the same page.

  • Genius: The active state where we’re most in natural flow (as individuals). It’s where we produce the highest value, and are most energized.
  • Play: In choosing positive emotional states such as curiosity that we can be our most creative. It’s from this state that work becomes play, and is more enjoyable for all.
  • Better: Positive improvement, either by sporadic steps or perpetually increasing.
  • Funergy: This is simply the fusion of fun and energy, born from work that is fun and energizing!
  • Ingraining: Fixing deeply into an organisation, so as not easily undone.

The Role

Seeking a Video Editor Extraordinaire

Do you want to make the world a better place? And work from almost anywhere in the world?

Our remote team is looking for another team member – an awesome video editor – who will help with our bold plans.

This is a 3-month project with a huge possibility of turning into a permanent role (if all goes well!) where you can continue to champion our purpose: to help all brands be good for the world.

Let’s see if you’re a good fit for our team:

  1. Our purpose and values fit you like a glove.
  2. A positive can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
  3. You are an organisational freak, diligent and reliable.
  4. You know video editing software like the back of your hand. Especially Premiere Pro.
  5. You can colour grade, jump cut, title and transition, like a Hollywood pro.
  6. You have a refined ear for audio so our content sounds flawless.
  7. You can navigate through various takes to identify the gold. And you have a bag of tricks to fill any gaps.
  8. You’re an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. 
  9. Your English is first rate and you are able to accurately transcribe and burn on captions that are error free.
  10. You’re quick and comfortable with producing video for YouTube, LMS and Reels.
  11. Your internet is fast, stable and capable of gigabytes of footage.
  12. You have impeccable attention to detail!
  13. Design skills for text and graphic overlays and backdrops are a bonus
